Mobile Observations is the playground of Mikael Leppä, a designer, trendwatcher, usability specialist and photographer who has divided his time between Japan and his native Finland since 2002. Currently he is based in Helsinki, where he lives with his Japanese wife.The origin of Mobile Observations was a photoblog started in 2006, which served, and still remains active, as a test bed for observing, interpreting and documenting the world while moving through it. The gathered experience and technology has been put to use in creating tailor made reports on Japanese markets and society for various creative companies since 2009.
